  23. Hardest challenge is moving from a house into an apartment and downsizing, especially if it is not permanent, where to put extra furniture. I also hate the fact that you can’t paint as you want and put up shelves/pictures.

  49. We have a very nice apartment. However, we have carpet in the kitchen. Ugh! It is indoor/outdoor carpet but still drives me nuts. And then of course, just the small space. Glad it is temporary.

  57. we have been very lucky with our living “space” in apartments, not so lucky with neighbors. that is the worst part about renting to me… as for the interior i have always found ways to make it cozy and home :) i agree with the popular complaints though, although we can put holes in our walls, and paint, as long as we paint it back…

  70. The problem I see with decorating an apartment, is limited space to do such (unless your place is palatial) to make it your own. You can only put so many things on your wall, can’t really paint it.
